My mosaic journey started over 25 years ago with an offcut of board and some old tiles....and it was baaad!
Wrong board choice, wrong glue, poor tile cutting and I even tried to paint over the ceramic tiles to achieve the right colours! Needless to say, I lost interest in that project and it got thrown into the dumpster!
I learned what NOT to do and the next project was better.
So much better that it got me hooked!
I continued to practice, learn and correct myself in each and every project. Growing up in a family where DIY was the only option, I have an instinct about materials, their uses and properties and I’ve realised — this is the part many people don’t have yet. Not because they can’t do it… but because no one has shown them what to look for.
